John B. Richerson, 81, of Stockton, NY passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024 at home with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. Born May 21, 1943 in Stockton, AL to the late Cullen B. and Clara Moran Richerson.
Prior to his retirement, he had a long work history that included working for 25 years as a well tender in the gas fields and at Hopes Windows with his favorite job working with his son Kraig at Pine For Peanuts. John loved helping people, spending time with family – especially his grandkids, and going to Disney World.
Surviving is his wife of 55 years, Darlene “Dolly” Marsh Richerson; 3 children: Troy (Erica) Richerson, Kraig (Katrina) Richerson and Scott (Wendy) Richerson; 6 grandchildren: Kaelyn (Dylan Thomas), Kobi (Abigail Wray), Klara, Shea, Kali and Kora Richerson; and his favorite four-legged friend Dooby.
Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by his twin brother James, sisters Patricia Smith and Sara Ellis.
Arrangements entrusted to Jordan Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
