In lieu of flowers, memorials to Chautauqua County Humane Society or CASA of Chautauqua county. Condolences to jordansinclairville.com And finally, let it be known that so-called family secrets are far more harmful than helpful. It’s not a family obligation or duty to keep quiet, but just the opposite—abuse forever alters a child’s soul—incessantly pervading generations to come. Folks reminisce about “the good ole days;” longing to return to a more simple time. Bear in mind that for many, “simple” meant nowhere to turn for help. No teachers trained to watch for behavioral changes. Disdainful rather than helpful principals and school officials. Worst of all, the scornful classmates and gossip-mongering peers who make every day horrible, never considering offering some kindness to a vulnerable, motherless girl. There’s a special place in hell for child abusers, rapists, and incestuous pedophiles. And, because he died on Halloween of rectal cancer, I’m confident Andrew Passinger Jr. is roasting in Hell. Speak your family secrets loud and proud; you might be the only protection a child has. And remember, there’s always an another victim.
