Obituary of John Paul Cable

John Paul Cable, 74 of Jamestown, formerly of Cassadaga, passed away Monday, Dec. 18, 2023. Born Feb. 1, 1949 in Warren, PA a son of the late Paul John and Phyllis Tucker Cable. He was a 1967 graduate of Eisenhower High School. John also graduated from Jamestown Community College, Jamestown Business College and was the first of three subsequent generations of his family to graduate from SUNY Fredonia. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving from 1969-1973. John's employment included, Aldrich Dairy, Al-Tech/Empire Specialty Steel, VA Office, Buffalo and The Connection, Jamestown. He was active with Henry Kent American Legion Post 777 and Fredonia Post 59. John enjoyed reading, taking walks/picking up cans and scenic drives. Husband of 36 years to the late M. June Yernberg Cable who he married June 14, 1974 and who died Jan. 30, 2011; father of, Allison Cable Lawson of Springfield, MO and Bonita (Jon) Mazzone of Cassadaga; grandfather of Desiree (Grace) and Padriac Lawson, Dominic and Chloe Mazzone; partner of 10 years to Donna Crandall Wallen of Jamestown brother of , David (Nancy) of Saginaw, MI and the late Jayne Cable;. Also survived by nieces and nephews. John's family gives special thanks to the Dialysis Unit at UPMC Chautauqua, Staff of Heritage Park and his amazing roommate Rufus.
