Obituary of Steven E Galbraith

Steven E. Galbraith, 65 of Westfield, formerly of Sinclairville, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones, Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Absolut Care of Westfield. Born, December 26, 1957 in Jamestown a son of the late Robert F. and Gladys M. Fargo Galbraith. He was a 1976 graduate of Cassadaga Valley Central School. Steve was employed for over 20 years at the Rich and Skip Lind Farm, Sinclairville and then for over 20 years at Ripley Machine and Tool until retiring in 2017 due to health issues. He was a member of the Ripley Rod and Gun club, enjoyed hunting, fishing and had a passion for horses and horseback riding. Steven is the father of, Jason (Joseph) Galbraith-Ramos of Austin TX, Michelle (Buck) Godfrey of Ellery Center, Robert (Amanda) Galbraith of Silver Creek, James (Tammy) Battin of Cassadaga and the late Daniel Battin; grandfather of Bayley Godfrey, Carter and Natalie Galbraith and the late Alayna Godfrey; brother of Sherri (Don) Hurlbut, Edward Galbraith, Mathew Mathieu, Bob and Keith LaRoy and the late Linda Beightol, James Galbraith, Richard and Timothy LaRoy. Also survived by nieces and nephews including Amy (John) Himes of Kennedy. Prior to Steve's passing, at his request, the family had a party to celebrate Steve's life which he was able to thoroughly enjoy with close friends and family. As per Steve's request there will be no funeral service. Arrangements by Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville.
