Obituary of Howard P Roberts III

Cassadaga -- Howard P. Roberts III, 78, of Cassadaga, passed away Saturday September 16, 2023 at his home. He was born November16, 1944 in Jamestown, NY to parents Howard P. Roberts, Jr. and Alice Mae Wang Roberts. Howard was a 1962 graduate of Cassadaga Valley High School and enlisted in the Navy after high school. He served as an airplane mechanic stateside. He was a member of Henry Mosher Post 638 and Past Master of Irondiquoit Lodge. He owned the Lone Elm Farm in Cassadaga, NY. He is survived by his son Myron (Tammy) Roberts, granddaughter Faith, former wife Judy Lindorm, brother Michael (Linda) Roberts and several nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents Howard Jr. and Alice Mae Roberts, brother William Roberts and nephew Jeffrey Roberts. Howard worked at MRC briefly after the navy and was a long-haul truck driver for most of his life, going by his CB handle "Whistler". He worked for Briggs Dairy, First Freight, Fredonia Express, Dunkirk Ice Cream and retired from Red Wing after 28 years. He was member of the NRA and a lifelong Yankees Baseball fan. Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from 4-8 pm at Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville, NY. A funeral service will be held on Thursday September 21, 2023 11am at the funeral home with the Rev. John Harvey officiating. Visiting will be 1 hour prior to the service.
