Please share a memory of Daniel to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
FORESTVILLE- Daniel Thomas Cravens, 34, of Forestville, died unexpectedly in his home on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
Daniel took his first breath on February 27, 1989 in Sherman, TX. He was the son of Elizabeth Keyser.
As a child, Daniel played football and was a Cub Scout. He also attended Cassadaga Valley High School until eleventh grade. However, he spent his senior year at Pine Valley Central School where he graduated in 2008. Daniel always enjoyed fishing, kayaking, camping, rhinos and riding his motorcycle. Daniel worked as a chef in several area restaurants and as a landscaper.
Also known as Small Fry or Smallz, he was a caring, generous, creative and compassionate soul that had the ability to make anyone laugh. He deeply cared about his family and had a special bond with the LDC, Derek Agnoli, Tim Payne and Chuck Dubois who were like a second family to him. Above all else, however, Daniel’s pride and joy were his two boys and bonus daughter whom he loved immeasurably.
Daniel fought a tough battle with the demon, addiction. He was proud of more than a year of sobriety when he took his last breath and was pulled from this world and all that he loved.
Daniel is survived by his two children, Mason and Ryker Cravens; his mother, Elizabeth Keyser; two sisters, Cassandra (Scott) Kaus of Brocton and Katreena O’Rourke of Cassadaga; and his grandparents Maryann Keyser of Cassadaga and Joseph H (Susan) Keyser of Willis, TX; a niece, two nephews, the LDC, as well as many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
Daniel was preceded in death by his brother, David Giliberti; his Uncle Joseph B Keyer and all of his great grandparents.
The family will receive friends and family at Jordan’s Funeral Home on Tuesday September 19, 2023 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with the funeral to follow immediately after. In honor of Daniel, people are asked to wear tie dye or bright colors for the service.
