Obituary of Claudia C Gierlinger

Claudia C. "Candy" Gierlinger, 75 of Charlotte Center, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2023 at Heritage Village R&SNF. Born September 28, 1947 in Erie, PA she is a daughter of the late Bion and Rita Anthony Chaffee. Candy was Valedictorian of her graduating class of Harborcreek High School in 1965. She was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Candy formerly attended Family Church, Fredonia Wife of 55 years to Frank X. Gierlinger, III, who she married 08/02/1968; mother of, Frank X., IV, Pete (Andrea), and Kevin (Jenn) Gierlinger all of Charlotte Center and the late Tammy Sobczak; grandmother of, Brianna Byler, Katelynn, Meggan, Cyrus, Aiden and Caleb Gierlinger; great-grandmother of, Everly, Wyatt and River Cribbs; sister of Bion Chaffee of Cassadaga, Ginger Bendig of Erie, PA, Cheryl Beer of NC and was preceded in death by five sisters. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Visitation 4-7 p.m. Sunday in Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday. Burial in Charlotte Center Cemetery.
