Chester "Chet" Glenn Penhollow, Sr., 89, of Jamestown, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at UPMC Hamot, Erie, PA. Born June 30, 1934 in Conewango Valley a son of the late Lynwood and Pearl Seekings Penhollow. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving from 1951-1955 in the Korean Conflict. Chet was employed for 30 years at the former Proto Tool as the Lead Man/Hammer Man and then in security at WCA until his retirement in 1999. He was a member and Past Post Commander of the Henry Mosher Post 638 American Legion, Falconer and the New York State American Legion. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting, fishing, time with family and attending his grandchildren's sporting events. Husband of 56 years to the late Joan Dillingham Penhollow; father of Sharon (Jeff) Hopkins, Valarie (Tim) Nordine, Karen(Art) and Cheryl (Rob) Soto, Tim (Bette Ann) and Chester "Chet" Penhollow, Jr.; grandfather of Greg and Chris Hopkins, Danny and Tommy Thompson, Andy Nelson, Kimberly Gleason, Stephanie Hernandez, Britney, Courtney, Amanda, Angela and Timothy Penhollow, Jr.. Also survived by numerous great-grandchildren a great great-grandson and nieces and nephews. Brother of the late Elizabeth, Betty, Marjori, Walter, Edgar, Raymond, Irvin and Billy Penhollow. Visitation Monday 11 a.m. in Park United Methodist Church, 49 Sinclair Dr., Sinclairville with funeral service commencing at Noon. Burial in Dewittville Cemetery.
