Obituary of Grove Jason Lanphere

Grove "Jason" Lanphere, 54 of Jamestown, passed away, Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Roswell Park Cancer Institute after a 16 month battle with cancer. Born Dec. 23, 1968 in Jamestown the son of James (Mary) Lanphere of Portville and the late Rita Oldro. Step-son of Virginia Lanphere. He was a 1986 graduate of Brocton Central School. Grove was employed at Weber Knapp as a press operator for the last 10 years retiring do to health in July 2022. He had previously been employed at the former Keywell Corp as an alloy sorter. He loved music, playing and collecting guitars and spending time with his granddaughters. Grove also enjoyed fishing and hiking with his wife of 10 years, Lynette "Lena" Lanphere, who he married April 19, 2013. Brother of James Lanphere, Jr.; step-brother of, Mark (Marcy) Fanale, Bill Carlson, Bill Woodcock, Renae (Nathan) Miller, Cheryl (Kory) Bracken, Lisa Waldren and Tracy (Tom) Edington; father of, Doug, Marisa and Dalton Lanphere; step-father of, Dawnee (David) Singletary. Also survived by his five granddaughters, nieces and nephews. Visitation 10 a.m. Monday in Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville with funeral service at 11 a.m. Flowers are gratefully declined.
