Ruth Jean Buck, 88 of Frewsburg, formerly of Cassadaga, passed away Friday, April 21, 2023 at UPMC Hamot.
Born Dec. 6, 1934 in Fredonia a daughter of the late Millard and Gladys Crumb Chase in Fredonia. She was a 1952 graduate of Fredonia Central School and also received her Associates Degree from Fredonia State College.
Mrs. Buck was employed as Office Manager for the Girl Scout Council for 24 years retiring in 1997.
She was a member of the Cassadaga Memorial American Legion Post 1280 Auxiliary, Cassadaga Garden Club and the Cassadaga Lily Dale Stockton Senior Citizens.
Wife of 51 years to the late Larry L. Buck who she married May 19, 1956 and who died Dec. 26, 2007; mother of, Tim (Lorraine) of Cassadaga, Daniel of Constantia and Tom (Becky) Buck of Falconer; grandmother of Kelly Buck; sister of the late Millard Chase, Jr. and Lois Mahl. Also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation Wednesday 10 a.m. in Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville with the funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial in Cassadaga Cemetery.
