Norma J. Briggs Shongo, 86, of Westfield, formerly of Stockton, passed away Monday, April 17, 2023 at Westfield Memorial Hospital.
Born May 15, 1936 in McKeesport, PA a daughter of the late Wayne and Ruth Fuller Briggs. A Chautauqua County resident most of her life, she attended Cassadaga Valley Central School through her Junior year and then received her G.E.D. in 1979 and in 1980 graduated from Jamestown Practical Nursing School.
Norma was employed by The Chautauqua County Home from 1980 until her retirement in 1989 due to injuries from an automobile accident.
She was a member of A.A.R.P. and the Fredonia Assembly of God.
Mother of Tina Shongo of Jamestown and Darrell Shongo of Westfield; grandmother of two; sister of Barbara Luczkowiak, Linda Hartman, Robert, Deborah and the late David, Ronald and Richard Briggs, Ellen Farley, and Cynthia Baldridge.
