David Miller, 80, of Gerry, passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 22nd, 2023 at Warren Manor. Born May 23rd, 1942 in Carmichaels, PA son of the late Earl Leroy and Clova (Wasson) Miller. David was a Navy Veteran, officer in the Salvation Army, graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He spent his life blessing others with his artistic gifts and love for others. His career was an eclectic one which included; Beacon Printing Co., bus driving, sign painting and carving, Activities Director for Heritage Village, creating his own sign company Grafikart and his beautiful creation "Presentations in Pastel". God used David to touch the lives of thousands through this medium. some of the most significant being in the lives of those at the Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Centers of the Salvation Army across the Northeast. David found joy in his life from the beauty of earth, art and music. He loved spending time with his family and living, serving and helping in the community he loved, Gerry, NY where he lived for 42 years. Devoted husband of 57 years to Dorothy Earleen Smith Miller, father of, David Zane (Allison) Miller of Clymer, PA and Timothy Leroy (Cathy) Miller of Jamestown; grandfather of, Anthony (Catherine) Oag-Miller, Madeline, Titus, Faith and Zane Miller; brother of Nancy Rhodes of Rochester; brother in law of Gloria Jean (Jim) Dunn of Gerry. Visitation Monday 5-8 p.m. in Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville with funeral services Tuesday 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Flowers are gratefully declined.
