Bobbi thoroughly radiated joy and love regardless of her circumstances. She was so authentic, believable, and contagious in her love of Jesus and concern for others. I'm grateful for the memories and deeply benefited from her caring. I'm greatful knowing she is living her hope and trust in Jesus by resting in His glory.

My Grandmother, was an amazing woman. Her smile could brighten up any room. I will always her laugh. She could bring a smile to your face on any given day. Deep down, I know she has waited for this day……to see my grandfather and mother again. We love you grandma and will always remember what a truly wonderful person you were. Till we meet again. We Love yiu.

Dear Shreffler Family,
So Sorry for your loss but rejoicing in Heaven's gain! I know you will miss her so much here! Bobbie has been looking forward to this day since I have known her, when Pastor Wayne and she came to Youngsville. I will always have fond memories of her! One memory I have was when she told Pilgrim's Progress over a few weeks period, from memory, to the children at our Sunday Night Church Service. Of course not only did the children enjoy and benefit from it and look forward to it but I believe all ages did as well! I know I did! She was a gem!
Our hugs, our love, our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time and in the days that follow!

Fond memories of working with Bobbie when our husbands ministered together in the "old" Susquehanna Conference. Her cheerful smile and word of encouragement come to mind. Our prayers for peace and the expectancy of seeing your special mom again are sent to you, Sam and Dee.

BOBBIE (MOM TO ME) by Jack A. Schull
I first met Bobbie, Mrs. Shreffler to me then, when she started attending our small Free Methodist Church in Franklin, PA. The year was 1960. Bobbie and her youngest daughter “Lee” and son “Sam” were the first to attend. Her husband “Wayne” and her daughter “Amber” were to come later. It is that (later) which changed my life.
As a 17-year-old young man it wasn’t long before I was bitten by the love bug for Amber. It was on February 21st of 1961 (Amber’s 16th birthday) we had our first date attending a program at our local high school. We dated all summer and in September ‘61’ I joined the Navy. My brother told me that absence makes the heart grow fonder and then he added “for someone else”. Love won out and I asked for permission to marry Amber and we got engaged. We were married on November 30th, 1963.
I don’t remember exactly when, but sometime prior to our wedding, Bobbie and Wayne became Mom and Dad to me. In many ways I felt closer to them than I did my own parents, who I really loved, but something was just different. Maybe it was their close walk with the Lord. They and their prayers were instrumental in Amber and I giving our hearts to the Lord on July 31st, 1966.
Whenever Amber and I had any difficulties, no matter what they were, we were always able to call “Mom and Dad” for some added prayer and encouragement. It was like they had a hotline to God. We knew, without a doubt, Mom was always praying for us.
With all the heartaches Mom went through, the loss of a granddaughter, her husband, and her daughter, her faith in the Lord never wavered. This was an encouragement to me as the daughter she lost was Amber, my wife of 42 years.
Mom always told me I was her number 2 son, only because I was the second to come into the family, Sam being the first. She never considered me an outsider. If I said or did something that Mom did not consider quite right, she was quick to let me know but always in a loving and kind way.
I will never forget during her grief after Amber’s memorial service, Mom came up to me and told me I was too young to spend my life alone and I needed to find someone to love. Five years later, God brought a fine Christian lady into my life and we were married in January 2011. When I first introduced Debbie to Mom, her comment to Debbie was “now you are my daughter”. That, folks, is real love.
These last years after Mom lost her ability to read, because of problems with her eyes, it has been my privilege to read her a story each Sunday during our weekly phone calls. Most of those stories came from various outdoor and hunting magazines. She patiently listened and made appropriate comments during the reading. I think she just really liked the interaction and hearing my voice. The content of the stories, I am sure, was not really that important but she always made me feel like it was.
Mom, we miss you very much and look forward to seeing you in heaven and spending eternity with you.
