Obituary of Eugene J Norton

Eugene J. Norton “Gene”, Born March 21, 1930 in Olean, NY a son of Thomas and Theresa Kiley Norton. Gene married Barbara Seibold in 1955 and divorced in 1960. Gene married Patricia Jean Smith in 1961. They divorced in 1995. Gene is survived by his four children, Craig Juliano, Michele (Dan) Cusella, Kimberly Sechrist and Connie (Karl) Lippard, his 6 grandchildren, Keri (Jesse) Pritchard, Samuel (Elisa) Todaro, Nicholas Todaro, Phillip Sechrist, Nathaniel (Ricki) Sechrist and Shannon Cox, his 7 greatgrandchildren, Gabriel Todaro, Sophia Todaro, Evelyn Todaro, Jonathon Todaro, Avery Pritchard, Brick Pritchard and Gus Pritchard, his longtime companion, Margriet Vandeschoot and her 3 daughters, Jill, Renee and Karen and his longtime dear friend and business partner, Bernard Linquist. Also surviving are his cousins, June, Elizabeth, Mary, Patricia and James O’Dea. Besides his parents, Gene was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Norton. Gene was a Korean War veteran, assigned to the Army Air Corp. He flew combat missions, delivering needed supplies to troops on the ground. He owned and operated Norton Bros. Roofing LLC for over 6 decades. Gene was an avid hunter and fisherman who traveled across most of North America. He also belonged to several fraternal organizations. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held Wednesday January 11, 2023 from 4pm-7pm at Riccardi’s Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville, NY.
