Marilyn Larson Rowland, 96 formerly of Ellington, entered eternal life with Christ, Friday, Oct., 21, 2022.
She was born in Jamestown, on August 22, 1926 to Carl and Bernice Larson of Ellington.
She went to the Ellington School and graduated from Falconer High School in the class of 1944.
Marilyn was married to James L. Rowland on the 29th of June 1946 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church.
She was primarily a homemaker and tended a large garden every year. She, and her now late husband Jim, raised two sons. Marilyn worked for many years at Cannon's Store in Clear Creek Corners. She was an active member of the Ellington United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing the organ, gardening, bowling and sewing. She was an active member of the Women's Christian Fellowship, Mothers' Club, and the Ladies' Sewing Club, the Falconer American Legion Auxiliary and volunteered for many years for the March of Dimes campaign.
She is survived by two sons, Larry Rowland of Alabaster, Alabama and Terry Rowland of Springfield, Virginia, four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, sister of Virginia Maloy of Sinclairville and the late Louise Ball. Also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation beginning at 12 noon Tuesday in the Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville with the funeral service at 1 p.m. Burial in Valley View Cemetery, Ellington Condolences at jordansinclairville.com
