Obituary of Diana L Koss

Diana L. (Szedon) Koss 73 of North Main Street Extension, Jamestown, NY was transferred to the loving hands of our Lord on Oct. 20, 2022. Diana was born December 9th 1948 to Peter and Violet (Day) Szedon, New Eagle, PA. Diana was the 3rd of 12 children. She is survived by her husband; W. Thomas Koss; three children. Katherine (Dr. Timothy) Vyrostek of Conneaut Lake PA, John (Elaine) Koss of Rockmart, GA, and Sarah (Gavin) Koss of East Greenbush NY; Granddaughter Makenzie Koss of Rockmart, GA; Grand-puppies Daytona and Spencer; Grand-kitty Rose. She was predeceased by four lovely dogs, Star, Missy, Nuisance, and Zeus. Three very Special Birds, Oliver, Dakota and lastly Heni (a female disguised as a male bird) Diana was a very proud, happy housewife and mother to our children. An accomplished cook, baker and homemaker; and a great lover of animals. She greatly enjoyed needlepoint and sewing. We were long time members of The Chautauqua Squares Dance Club. Per Diana’s wishes there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at the Gerry United Methodist Church, Rt 60 Gerry, NY on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 11:00 AM. A luncheon will be held immediately following the service. Private internment at the convenience of the family will be at Western New York National Cemetery, Corfu, NY. Arrangements are under the directions of Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville, NY Memorial contributions to honor Diana in lieu of flowers can be made to Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2828 Strunk Road, Jamestown, NY 14701 or Gerry United Methodist Church, PO Box 187, Gerry NY 14740.
