Walfred L. Josephson, 90 of Cassadaga, passed away Thursday, Sept. 15, 2022.
Born Aug. 8, 1932 in Dunkirk a son of the late Almet and Maxine MacCubbin Josephson.
He was a 1950 graduate of Cassadaga Valley Central School.
A Dairy farmer all his life, he retired in 1995.
Walfred was a former member of the Agway Board, the Farm Bureau and First Baptist Church of Dunkirk.
He enjoyed John Deere tractors, repairing and maintaining farm equipment and participating in the Chautauqua County Antique Equipment shows.
Husband of 63 years to Renee R. Wood Josephson, who he married Nov. 7, 1959; father of Todd of Jamestown and Julie Josephson and Susan (late Timothy) Leslie; grandfather of Jacob and Benjamin Leslie; brother of Almet "Toots"(Connie) all of Cassadaga and the late Fredric, William and Dana Josephson. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Memorial service 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29th in First Baptist Church of Dunkirk, 876 Central Ave., Dunkirk. Private burial in Cassadaga Cemetery.
