Obituary of Joyce M Tolman

Joyce M. Tolman, 80, of Sinclairville, passed away at home surrounded by family, Tues. Aug. 9, 2022. Born Dec. 30, 1941 in Lackawanna a daughter of the late Arthur and Florence Leonard Rogowski. She began her working career as a microfilm operator for Erie County and also self employed for several years. Joyce then was employed at Sinclairville Elementary School cafeteria as a cashier retiring in 2020. Joyce was a member of the Cassadaga Memorial American Legion Post #1280 Auxiliary, Ellington Rod and Gun and volunteered at the Samaritan House, Sinclairville. She enjoyed working in the yard, taking care of her flowers, and spending time with her children, grand and great-grandchildren. Wife of 47 years to the late Terry Warren Tolman who died May 19, 2006; mother of Kerry of Dewittville and Tarryl (Tim Johnson) Tolman of Gerry; grandmother of Christina Marie Moore of Ashland, KY, Jonathan Warren (Jackie) Cornwell of Independence, KY and Joshua (Cortney Vahl) Tolman of Sinclairville; great-grandmother of, Payton and Lucy Moore, Oakleigh Cornwall and Camden Tolman; sister of, Sandra Monteleone of Kenmore, Michael (Carol) of Clarence and the late Galen and Curry Rogowski. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Visitation 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Monday in Jordan Funeral home with funeral services at 12 p.m. Burial in Valley View Cemetery, Ellington.
