Obituary of John M Hammond

John M. Hammond, 69 of Cherry Creek, passed away Saturday July 16, 2022 at home. Born Aug. 26, 1952 in Jamestown a son of the late Harold and Patricia Kilburn Hammond. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, serving with the United States Navy. Was employed for 40 years as a machine operator with SKF, Falconer, retiring in 2020. He enjoyed beef farming and spending time with his three companion dogs, Lassie, Possum and Nellie. Husband of 36 years to the late Martha Lent Hammond who he married Aug. 25, 1984 and who died Mar. 30, 2020; father of Christina (Dustin) Miller, of Kennedy Michelle (Terry) Garvin of Jamestown and Tina Hammond of Reynoldsville, PA; grandfather of Anastacia, Codie and Chase Miller, Riley and Sarah Garvin, Elizabeth, Autumn, Kaleb and Taylor Dash; brother of, Wilma (David) Rundell of Rocky Mount, NC, Roxie (Late Curtis) Bickel and William (late Marie) Hammond all of Erie, PA. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Funeral service 12 noon Thursday in Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville with visitation 10 a.m. to Noon. Burial in Cherry Creek Central Cemetery.
