Jean Briggs Kawski
Born September 6, 1934, at home in Stockton, the daughter of the late Allen and Marion Ernest Briggs.
Jean attended Cassadaga Valley Central School and was employed at Super Duper, Loblaws and Winn Dixie, retiring from Dunkirk Ice Cream in 1991.
She enjoyed spending time with her family especially the grandchildren and three generations of nieces and nephews. Jean was an avid reader; cookbooks were her favorite as she loved trying out new recipes.
Jean is survived by her sons Robert A Kawski and John F Kawski, grandsons Brandon, Nathan and John Allen Kawski, nieces Deborah (Tom) Caruso, Cynthia (Bill) Loftus, Brenda (Ted) Cline, Nancy Briggs and several great nieces and nephews. Jean was preceeded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years Robert W. Kawski, whom she married on November 16, 1957, brothers David and Clifford Briggs, grandson Alexander Kawski, nephew David Briggs Jr and niece Melissa Briggs.
Arrangements entrusted to Riccardi’s Jordan Funeral Home.
In following Jean’s wishes no funeral services will be held. She asked that everyone fondly remembers Aunt Jean and to go about their business.
