Obituary of Mabel Muscato

Mabel Emeline Rose Muscato, 96 of Cassadaga, passed away peacefully Wed., April 20, 2022 at home, surrounded by her family. Born Jan. 4, 1926 in Charlotte Center, a daughter of the late Gerald and Fern Delahoy Rose. She was a 1943 graduate of Cassadaga Valley Central School. In addition to being a wife, mother and homemaker, Mabel also was employed at Dunkirk Ice Cream and many restaurants, including Candy Land Coffee House, Cassadaga Diner, White Horse and was co-owner of Grandma's Kitchen, Cassadaga. Wife of the late James Muscato; mother of, Lawrence Muscato of Bolivar, Teresa Mersing, Charles, David (Susan), Philip Muscato all of Cassadaga and Russell (Janet) Muscato of Buffalo , James (Cheryl) Muscato of Madison, OH., Angela (Michael) Bolender of Mayville, Mary (Gary) Fisher of Voluntown, CT and Lucy (Charles) LaPorte of Westfield. Grandmother of 20; great-grandmother of 15; sister of, Florence (Lester) Frost of Cassadaga, Frank (Donna) Gugino of Sevierville, TN. Also survived by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Thomas Muscato and infants Francis, Christopher and Florence Muscato; and the late Ellen Rose Abers, George Gugino, Lee and John Rose.
