Obituary of Kathaleen M Moore
Kathaleen M. Moore, 71 of Cassadaga, went home to be with the Lord, Wed., Dec. 15, 2021.
Born Mar. 11, 1950 in Jamestown a daughter of Ruth Barkman Hammond of Lutheran Social Services and the late Paul A. Hammond.
Growing up in Sinclairville, Kathy was a 1950 graduate of Cassadaga Valley Central School and also attended culinary arts school at Morrisville College.
She was employed as a cook for numerous health care centers in Chautauqua County including Heritage Village, Jamestown General and St. Columbians. She also operated her own bakery specializing in cakes, cookies and fudge which she outsourced to roadside stands. Kathy, and her family, also raised goats for over 30 years.
She attended Park United Methodist Church and in earlier years, served as a 4H leader for over 30 years, Sunday School Teacher and Awana leader. Family was always a top priority making birthdays and holidays special. Wife of 50 years to Richard Moore who she married May 13, 1972; mother of Paul Moore, Ryan(Chet)Nickerson, Amber Hilliker all of Cassadaga; grandmother of, Kaylee Childress, Emma and Clayton Nickerson, Calvin and Mattea Hilliker, Destin, Elisha, Austin, Jayden and Laurlei Johns; sister of Diana Beard of Sinclairville and the late Paul "Butch" Hammond. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Visitation Monday 3-6 p.m. in Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville. Celebration of Life 11 a.m. Tuesday in Park United Methodist Church, 49 Sinclair Dr., Sinclairville. Burial in Charlotte Center Cemetery.
