Obituary of Sherman E Sweeney

Sherman E Sweeney, 62 of Sinclairville passed away September 6, 2021 at UPMC Chautauqua. He was born March 6, 1959 in Burlington, VT a son of Robert Sweeney and Muriel Tuper. Sherman graduated from Burlington High School in 1977. He worked as a baker and delivery man for Fassetts Bakery. Sherman also worked as a truck driver for 35 years. He last worked for Reagle Services of Ripley, NY and worked part time at Value Home in Lakewood, NY. Sherman was an avid NASCAR fan. He often drove and raced at Catamount Race Track in VT. He was also involved in BMX bike racing for area children. Sherman was a former member of the Sinclairville Fire Department. Sherman is survived by his loving wife Jean who he married November 25, 2006, his children, Robert (Alexandra) Eaton of Tonawanda, NY, Sherman (Melissa) Sweeney of Kennedy, NY and Charles (Carol) Sweeney of Falconer, NY, his grandchildren, Journee Westerdahl and Abigail Sweeney of Kennedy, NY, Annie, Maren and Conner Eaton all of Tonawanda, NY, Spec E 4 William Eaton of Fort Hood TX and Courtney Vettenburg of Sherman, NY, his 7 great grandchildren, and his siblings, Dale (Renee) Sweeney, Robert Sweeney, Ronny (Jean) Sweeney, Becky (Ladd) O’Brien and Susannah Sweeney all of VT. Arrangements entrusted to Riccardi’s Jordan Funeral Home. A Graveside service will be held Thursdayt September 9, 2021 1PM at Evergreen Cemetery, Sinclairville, NY.
