I met Ray 50 years ago around the time I left the service. He had just married my sister-in-law Kathy Haines. His gentle nature made him easy to know and fun to be around. Our family has fond memories of Ray. He was a hit with our kids, being part kid himself. Kathy recently shared that she is grateful for the time she and Ray had together. We were fortunate to see Ray at the Fair Grounds a few years back: still friendly, quiet, gentle, still loving trains. You will be dearly missed old friend. May God bless -- Reiner family
