Obituary of Kenneth C Wise

Kenneth C. Wise, 83 of Cassadaga passed away on June 19, 2021 at Dunkirk Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. He was born June 2, 1938 the son of Raymond and Edna Wise. After his graduation from Fredonia Ken worked until his retirement as a rural carrier for the US Post Office. Ken was the former owner of Ames Lunch, Wise Products, GKW Sportscards and Stockton Sales. Ken was also a former member of the Cassadaga Volunteer Fire Department. Ken’s involvement in his community was endless. He helped to start youth bowling in the area, he was the former vice president of East Lake Babe Ruth, helped run youth wrestling in Cassadaga for many years, and coached and managed Babe Ruth baseball in Cassadaga. Ken enjoyed watching his grandkids play sports, going to Cassadaga High School sporting events, bowling and teaching bowling, donating to local youth groups, taking long drives, talking with family and friends and mowing the lawn. Ken is survived by his sons, Scott wise, Fred (Kathleen) Wise and Greg Wise, his sisters, Shirley Frick, Vivian Hunt and Sally Schwactfeger, his grandchildren, Arianna, Alanna, Nick, Ashley, Derek, Kaitlin, Brandon, Tyler, Zach, and Kristin, his great grandchildren, Kaedyn, Payton, and Ella, his in laws, Richard (Patricia) Glasier, Roger (Shirley) Glasier and Rita Boardman. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Ken was preceded in death by his wife Patricia A Wise, his son, Rodney J Wise and his parents Raymond and Edna Wise. Arrangements entrusted to Riccardi’s Jordan Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Thursday June 24, 2021 1pm at Laona Cemetery, Town of Pomfret.
