Roberta L. Doud, 87 of Ellington, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2024 at UPMC Chautauqua. Born Aug. 26, 1936 in Jamestown a daughter of the late William and Inez Stoneburg Carson. She was a 1956 graduate of Southwestern Central High School. Roberta was a fulltime wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She was a member of Ellington's United Methodist Church, Rod and Gun Club and Town Picnic Association, member of Vikings Lodge IOV 65 and Life Member of The Ellington VFD Auxiliary. Wife of 49 years to the late Wilbur A. Doud, who she married May 17, 1958 and who died May 16, 2007; mother of, Michael Doud and Denise (John) Arnold all of Ellington, and Warren (Danette) Doud of Dewittville; grandmother of, Teila (Corey) Paden, Falicia (Nathan) Donnell, Paul (Sarah Nyhart) Arnold, Amie Griffith, Warren, Jr., Garret, and Cheyann Doud; great-grandmother of 11, including the late Taynor Doud; sister of Harold (late Rita) Carson and the late Hellen Spence, Kathleen Strasser, William, Shaun, Sr. and infant sister, Brenda Carson.; half sister of, Sheena Colleen, Louise White, Patricia and Calvin Carson. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Visitation begins Saturday at 9 a.m. with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. in Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville. Burial in Valley View Cemetery.
