Obituary of Samuel G Pantall Jr
Please share a memory of Samuel to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Samuel G. Pantall Jr., 75, of Sinclairville, NY passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January
14th, 2026. He was born on July 10, 1950, in Warren, PA to the late Helen and Samuel Pantall Sr.
Sam attended the Falconer School System and was a United States Marine Corp veteran.
Sam was a gifted heavy equipment operator by trade, but it was so much more than a job to him.
When he wasn’t working for others, he was always looking for dirt to move around home. He built
trails through the woods for horseback and four-wheeler riding and a beautiful pond for his family and
friends to enjoy. After multiple sclerosis forced him to retire, he found creative ways for his family to
get him on his equipment; eventually using his cane to operate when his legs no longer worked. Even
though he had traded his dozer for a wheelchair, he could be found using his wheelchair as a dozer
while working in his garage. Sam loved working on projects for his family, who meant the world to
him, which kept him going through his many health challenges. He shared a special bond with his
son-in-law Phil, who came to his rescue many a time.
Sam was known for his quick-witted sense of humor. He took great pleasure in getting a reaction
from others. As Mike quickly discovered, a witty response also gave Sam deep pleasure and earned
his respect. His beloved daughters, Shannon and Lisa, blessed him with five grandchildren that he
loved spending time with: always teaching them important life skills/lessons. He enjoyed attending
their many sporting events so he could cheer them on. He was fortunate to see them grow into fine
young adults and took great pride in watching his grandsons run equipment. He also enjoyed family
gatherings, bonfires, tractor pulls, and regular card games that his caring wife would host so that he
could spend time with his friends of over 50 years.
He was preceded in death by his two infant sisters (he was a triplet), his parents, his brothers Bill,
Andy, Dave, and his cousin Dick Pantall. He is survived by his loving caregivers Paula Pantall (wife)
and Bella (canine companion), daughter Shannon (Phillip) Pattyson, daughter Lisa (Michael)
LeBaron, grandchildren Ty (Riley) Pattyson, Kaylee (James) Pattyson, Alexis Pattyson, Meghan
(Connor) LeBaron, and Braden LeBaron, his sisters Ann (Dick) Morrison, and Mary (Ron) Brandow, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the National MS Society or the Sinclairville Fire Department. The family
will receive visitors at the Jordan Funeral Home in Sinclairville, NY on Saturday, January 24th, 2026,
from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. with a service to follow.
