Obituary of David Wayne Abel

David Wayne Abel, 67, of Cassadaga, NY passed away on Monday January 12, 2026. He was born on June 19, 1958 to John C. And Carol Abel in Buffalo, NY. He was raised in Blasdell, NY and graduated from Frontier Central School in 1976. He moved to Cassadaga in 1982 and worked for Dunkirk Ice Cream for 20 years. There he met his future wife Eunice and they were married on March 6, 1982 in Blasdell, NY. He also worked for Amcor as a factory worker manufacturing bottles and for Aspire of Western New York where he worked maintenance up until his retirement. David was a hard worker, working various jobs at a younger age and throughout his whole life. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting and gardening. He loved to travel with his wife all over the United States and parts of Canada, a recent 19-day trip brought them from Montana to Utah. He took Eunice to Hawaii and Alaska knowing she had never been on plane before. He loved doing many things but most of all David was a family man, he loved his family and spending time with them. Nothing brought him greater joy than loving and helping them, whether that be with remodeling their homes or just being there as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed. David is survived by his wife of 43 years Eunice Abel, his children Danielle (Charles) Teachman, Jennifer Diate, Brenda Abel and John (Ashley) Abel, his grandchildren Blake, Addison, Thomas, Skylar, Eloise, Christopher, and Tanner, hi mother Carol Abel, his four sisters Cynthia Abel, Karen (David) Czesak, Lori Abel and Melissa Landis and many nieces and nephews. David is preceded in death by his father John C Abel and a granddaughter Harper Abel. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Jordan Funeral Home.
