Edgar Young Evans Jr, passed away in the care of hospice on Sunday January 11, 2026 in Lakewood, NY.
Edgar was born on December 7, 1962 to Edgar Evans Sr and Anna Mcnesby, on Fort Dix Army base in New Jersey. Ed as many people called him was a hard-working man. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his Father Edgar Y Evans Sr, his stepmother Patrica Evans, his mother Anna McNesby, his brothers Milton Evans , Thomas Evans (Faith) his children Tanya Evans, Gina Jimmerson (Vincent) James Rivera, Edgar Y Evans III, Lynn Evans , many nieces and nephews, and many grandchildren.( Lacie, Julissa, Kiarah, Jaelyn, Johnny Jr, Lydia, Kay-Lynn, Antwon Jr, Adonis, Owen, Jessika, Ryan, Avery, Isidro, Ezekiel, Leilani Aly, Clarianne, Alaray, Tyson)
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Edgar T and Anna-May Evans, his youngest brother Jimmy Evans, and his oldest son Johnny Evans
A visitation will be held at Jordan Funeral Home on Friday January 16, 2026 from 6PM-8PM. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Stockton NY on Monday January 19, 2026.
