Obituary of Michelle Lorena Woodard

Michelle L. Woodard left this life unexpectedly, October 24, 2025, at her home in Buffalo, NY. Michelle was born September 21, 1961, in Dunkirk, NY, graduating from Cassadaga Valley Central School and SUNY Fredonia, where she excelled in Cross Country and Track and Field and induction into the Fredonia Athletic Hall of Fame in 1992. After college she continued running events in the area and then competed in women's bodybuilding and weightlifting in Buffalo for several years. Michelle's work careers included teaching Spanish in Chautauqua County, retail sales in Rochester, and waitressing in various locations in the Dunkirk and Buffalo areas. She was the daughter of the late Winston L. and Lorena (Kilmer) Woodard Sr. Michelle was also predeceased by her daughter, Courtney Ziemba in 2014. She is survived by her brothers Winston (Lori) Woodard Jr. and Christopher (Cindy) Woodard, nieces, nephews, assorted cousins, and her most precious feline companion, Baby.
