Obituary of Eva M Sargent

Eva Mae Hallett Myers Sargent, 85, of Stockton, NY, passed away peacefully on September 11,
2025. She was born to Fred Hallett and Rosia Warner Hallett on March 20, 1940. She left High
School to raise a family but knew “education is power”, working hard she earned her GED and
associates degree. She and her husband David loved to travel, they visited all 50 states, Puerto
Rico and Europe, while visiting and supporting many family members, friends and several folks
who were veterans. She loved doing crafts with her children and grandchildren. She especially
loved playing games and doing puzzles and crosswords. A model mother and grandmother of
six children and two stepchildren, numerous great and great great grandchildren. She was
employed by Falconer Plate Glass for over 30 years. She held positions of secretary and
treasurer for her union and even served as a union representative.
Eva is survived by her sister Dorothy (Paul) Hallett Kranking of Bemus, her children Sue (Kevin)
Myers Attridge of Stockton, Grace (Ernest) Myers Hill of Georgia, Dalbert “Chip” (Connie) Myers
Jr. of North Carolina, Beverly (Duane) Myers Hallett of Virginia, Alvin (Sue) Myers of Texas, 2
step children David Sargent Jr of Jamestown, Leona (Stephen) Sargent Black of West Virginia
and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband David Sargent Sr., her son
James (Yvonne) Myers, her siblings Edward Hallett, Marjorie Hallett , Robert Hallett, Irwin
Hallett , Paul Hallett, David Hallett, Lloyd Hallett, Fred Hallett Jr, Reuben and Hannah Eleanor
Hallett Forley.
We will miss her smile and how she loved each of us individually.
No services will be held at this time.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
