Obituary of Corrine A Tilyou Morley

Please share a memory of Corrine to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Corrine A. “Sis” Tilyou Morley, of Sinclairville, announces her peaceful passing on April 13, 2025, at Heritage Village Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Facility. Her soul, spirit and glowing personality has been released from the vessel that had trapped her within for the past 9 years. She is now at peace. Born on July 23, 1932, in Jamestown, NY, Corrine was the daughter of the late Cassius and Isabelle (Sumner) Tilyou. Everyone who knew her, knew her as “Sis”; a nickname given to her by her brother Warren.  Sis attended Cassadaga Valley Central School, where she met her future husband, Howard. They married on June 10, 1950, and built a life together on the farm. Following school, she worked as a waitress, which she gave up, becoming a homemaker and helping her husband on their dairy farm. Her love and devotion extended far beyond her hard work on the farm. She poured her heart into raising her five children and later took great joy in creating special memories with her grandchildren, who always felt her unwavering support, affection, and pride. Her homemade cooking and baking were enjoyed by many.  There was always plenty of food and room at the table for those who came to visit and lend a hand on the farm. Later in life, Sis returned to work outside the home, first at The Rose of Sharon in Falconer, then as a certified nursing assistant at Heritage Village, where she gave the same compassionate care to others that she would later receive herself. She also volunteered at the Sinclairville 76ers luncheon site along with being a greeter at the Jordan Funeral Home in Sinclaiville. Our mother was a model of unconditional love and acceptance. She welcomed everyone into her life with open arms and a generous spirit, creating a home where all felt safe and loved. She was a devoted mother to us and her legacy lives on in our lives as well as the lives of her 11 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great- grandchildren. She found joy in every moment spent with her family, and her love was the thread that wove us all together. To be in her presence was to feel cared for, uplifted, and accepted without condition. Her departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but her love and guidance live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever honored. Sis is survived by her son Kenneth (Tina) Morley; and four daughters Joanne (Keith) Carlson and Nancy Risley of Sinclairville, Janet (Pat) Kelly of Cassadaga, and Lynda (Marty) Willett of Bemus Point. She was the proud grandmother of 11: Kelly Zatorski and Angela Morley of Dunkirk, Renee (Chris) Johnson and Amy (Mark) Jaquith of Cassadaga, Brad (Melissa) Kelly of Fredonia, Dan (Corinne) Kelly and Darin (Kara) Smith of Sinclairville, Kristin (David) Conroe of Ellery, Alicia (Kyle) Kimmerly of Forestville, Christopher Risley of Cherry Creek and Ashley (Corry) Kaltenbach of Ellington.   Her beautiful legacy also lives on in her 34 great-grandchildren and 2 great- great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard F. Morley, her brother Warren Tilyou, sister-in-law, Tina (Lawson) Tilyou and her “favorite youngest son-in-law”, Gary Risley. The family will welcome friends and loved ones at a visitation at 11 a.m. Monday, April 21, 2025 at Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville with services commencing at 1p.m in the funeral home.  Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Sinclairville.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Sis’s memory may be made to the Sinclairville 76ers, Sinclairville, NY  14782 - an organization that reflects her love and care for others.
